Train with me in your own garden

What would you like to learn?
Training and coaching is in my blood. I love to help people learn about my favourite subject…..gardening and what better place to learn than your very own garden.
I will work alongside you, teaching and coaching as I go……. here are some of the subjects I can cover:
Simple garden design-how to plan your garden.
Analysing and amending borders that just aren’t right.
Pruning shrubs, climbers and roses.
Identifying what is growing in your garden and your garden requirements.
A day in your greenhouse - learning all things propagation.
How to grow your own supply of cut flowers.
How to grow your own vegetables.
Caring for your house plants.
These are just a few suggestions, you may prefer to walk and talk and we can tackle whatever arises.

Training in your own garden.
I believe it’s easiest to learn in your own garden. Think about particular times in the garden when you’re feeling out of your depth.
We’ll start with a phone call to discuss your training needs and find out about your garden. We then arrange a date for training.

Specialist Training
I am a master propagator, having studied Commercial Horticulture at Hadlow College, producing 80% of all of the plants sold at my plant nursery for 11 years. If you’d like to make the most of your greenhouse or multiply stock for your own garden, I can teach you propagation techniques and help you set up your greenhouse..

Rose Pruning
During my time at Sissinghurst Castle Gardens we would spend months pruning Roses. I will give you hands on training, pruning your own roses, tackling climbers, ramblers, shrub and hybrid teas. This work is carried out in the winter months, creating works of art on your walls and giving you an abundance of Roses each year. It’s easy once you know how!
