Garden Design
I have been designing gardens since 2001. I am a Horticulturist and plants woman with a wealth of experience, not just in design, but also in the maintenance requirements of gardens.
I have a thorough understanding of plant habits giving you the total package. I really do know what it takes to manage a 30 metre border! I make sure none of us get carried away and that the design is realistic.

My clients range from a postage stamp garden in Hastings with a total budget of £2000, to a 35 acre estate in Wadhurst with a considerably higher budget! I am as happy working in small gardens as enormous estates.

Small Garden - up to 100m2 - £1000.00
Medium Garden - from 101m2 to 300m2 - £1,500.00
Large Garden - 301m2 upwards - larger gardens/estates we would agree a fee after initial site visit)

What happens when I appoint you to design my garden? What do I get and when?

Initial Meeting - Terms Agreed - Deposit to Secure Work
First we meet up to discuss your garden, your requirements and budget. Upon deciding to go ahead with one of the packages, I send out a welcome pack and invoice. 50% is paid up front to secure your design slot, the balance is paid upon delivery of the master design.
Within the welcome pack is a client questionnaire and site survey form. It’s really important to me that you get the garden you need and want making this stage crucial. Once you have filled these out we discuss your requirements which allows me to produce a concept design and mood board.
Concept Design & Mood Board - Agreed
The concept design shows the suggested flow and layout of your new garden. The mood board shows materials, style and inspiration. Once agreed, the master design is produced.
Master Design Produced
With the concept design agreed, I then produce the master design to scale, with planting plans, costs and further illustrations. Two drafts of the master design are included within the design package, (excluding the concept design), allowing edits to take place to ensure you get the design you are happy with. I agree timescales with you at the start of your design project.
Project Management of the Build and Planting
I can recommend local, trusted contractors for hard landscaping. If you would like me to carry out project management for the build/planting, I will quote for this service when presenting the design.
I work within a 25 mile radius of Burwash, East Sussex. I can create designs remotely if you are further afield.
