Mrs L. Hastings, East Sussex

Mrs L had recently moved to a new home in Hastings. The garden had been neglected for many years and self seeders such as Oenothera aka Evening Primrose had taken over. Though Mrs L liked the wild feel, the weeds were definitely dominating. Rather then create a new garden design, I created a planting plan for the rear garden, keeping the existing layout and the wild feel but adding shrubs and perennials with pockets of space for growing veg and allowing self seeders. The front garden needed to be screened from the road, a jungle garden gave an exotic feel with a beautiful conservatory as the backdrop.
